Answer from 2025 FDD Document

There is no specific product or service we require you to purchase or lease from us, a supplier we designate or a supplier we approve or according to our specifications other than (i) a Hotel Managed Security Service (HMSS), which provides hotels with secure communications to data centers and security, for which you must pay us the related fees and (ii) the front entrance and front desk plaques.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bw Premier Collection's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, HMSS stands for Hotel Managed Security Service. The FDD specifies that HMSS provides hotels with secure communications to data centers and security.

The FDD states that purchasing HMSS is required for Bw Premier Collection franchisees. Franchisees must pay Bw Premier Collection the related fees for this service. In addition to HMSS, franchisees are also required to purchase the front entrance and front desk plaques from Bw Premier Collection.

Beyond the HMSS and front desk items, Bw Premier Collection recommends that System Hotels maintain certain designated computer equipment and two-way connectivity to their reservations system. Franchisees may obtain the recommended computer equipment from any supplier, but if they choose to have two-way connectivity, they must pay Bw Premier Collection the related fees. Bw Premier Collection also recommends that System Hotels secure the GMS (Guest Management System) through their affiliate AutoClerk, but this is not required.
