What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Burros Fries's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain written approval from Burros Fries before signing a lease or purchase contract for the business location. The franchisee is responsible for finding, securing, and developing a site for the Burros Fries franchise.
Burros Fries needs to approve the lease before it is signed. The FDD states that written approval can be made via email or any other form of written communication. The document also mentions that Burros Fries's acceptance of a site does not guarantee the profitability or success of the franchise at that location.
Furthermore, the franchisee must secure a lease approved by Burros Fries within 18 months of the franchise agreement's effective date and open the business within 24 months. Failure to meet these deadlines may result in the termination of the franchise agreement, and Burros Fries may retain all fees paid by the franchisee.
