What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, once the franchisor notifies the franchisee that the intranet system is operational, the franchisee must purchase and install any necessary computer additions to establish and maintain electronic connection with the system. The franchisee's obligation to maintain this connectivity continues until the expiration or termination of the Franchise Agreement.
This means that a Burros Fries franchisee must remain connected to the franchisor's intranet system for the entire duration of their franchise term. This obligation includes not only setting up the initial connection but also continuously maintaining it.
The franchisee is responsible for ensuring their systems remain compatible and connected, which may involve costs for upgrades or maintenance. Failure to maintain this connectivity could be a breach of the Franchise Agreement, potentially leading to termination.
