Are there any exceptions to the required operating hours for a Burros Fries franchise?

Answer from 2024 FDD Document

Your business must stay open seven (7) days a week and at least ten and a half (10.5) hours per day, except for holidays (as specified in the Operations Manual). The only exception to the above is if Franchisee is given written permission by us to operate at a lesser period; or if the hours of operation for the Business are required by the lease of the premises on which the Business is operated.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, a Burros & Fries Business must operate seven days a week for at least ten and a half hours each day. However, there are a couple of exceptions to this rule.

First, the operating hours requirement does not apply on holidays, as specified in the Operations Manual. This means that franchisees can close their Burros Fries location on certain holidays without violating the Franchise Agreement. The specific holidays are detailed in the Operations Manual, which franchisees should review carefully.

Second, Burros Fries may grant a franchisee written permission to operate for a shorter period than the standard hours. This provides some flexibility if a franchisee has a specific reason for needing reduced hours, although approval is at the discretion of Burros Fries. Finally, the required hours of operation may be dictated by the lease of the premises where the Burros Fries business operates. If the lease requires shorter hours, that will take precedence.
