What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the cleanliness standards established periodically by Burros Fries. These standards and specifications apply to the Burros Fries business, all menu and retail items, recipes, food preparation, operational procedures, advertising, vendors, and the products and services offered through the franchise.

Burros Fries requires franchisees to operate in strict conformity with the methods, standards, and specifications prescribed in the Operations Manual or in writing. Franchisees must maintain a sufficient supply of products, supplies, and kitchen equipment that meet Burros Fries' standards. These standards and specifications are subject to change based on experience or changes in the marketplace, and Burros Fries will communicate any changes to all franchisees.

To ensure compliance, Burros Fries conducts unannounced on-site visits to inspect the business. During these visits, they may visibly inspect the franchisee's inventory to determine if unauthorized products, kitchen equipment, or services are being used, sold, or offered. Burros Fries also relies on information from other businesses or guests reporting any unauthorized items. Franchisees must allow Burros Fries or its agents to remove products or equipment for testing to ensure they meet the current standards. If a franchisee fails an inspection for a second time within two years, Burros Fries reserves the right to charge an additional fee of $1,000.

Burros Fries retains the right to take necessary actions to prevent the use, sale, or offering of unauthorized products, supplies, kitchen equipment, or services, including seeking injunctive relief or terminating the Franchise Agreement. This rigorous oversight ensures that all Burros Fries locations maintain consistent quality and cleanliness standards, protecting the brand's reputation and customer experience.
