What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, Burros Fries may provide on-site supervision and assistance to franchisees regarding kitchen equipment operation. These visits are at Burros Fries' discretion and are intended to advise franchisees on various aspects of the business. The franchisee is responsible for covering the costs of transportation, room, board, and other expenses incurred by Burros Fries personnel during these visits. These visits will occur per the terms laid out in the Franchise Agreement or at the franchisee's request, with the specific timing determined by Burros Fries.
Burros Fries also monitors the operation of the franchisee's business, including inspecting the kitchen equipment. After the inspection, Burros Fries will advise the franchisee of the results. If a franchisee fails the inspection twice within a two-year period, Burros Fries may charge a fee of $1,000. Franchisees can also request an inspection, but they will be responsible for the inspection's cost if Burros Fries has not inspected the business in the past twelve months.
Furthermore, Burros Fries will continue to consult with franchisees, without additional charges, regarding kitchen equipment. They will also provide updated lists of approved kitchen equipment that franchisees are authorized to use, offer, and sell in their businesses. While Burros Fries provides these lists, the franchisee is responsible for purchasing or leasing the equipment. This ongoing support aims to help franchisees maintain efficient and compliant kitchen operations.
