What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering all expenses related to additional training. Burros Fries may offer additional training resources for the operation, advertising, and promotion of the business, including certification programs, seminars, workshops, product or service training programs, annual conventions, and information available through their website.
If Burros Fries deems it appropriate to charge a fee for additional training, they may do so. However, regardless of whether a training fee is charged, the franchisee must pay for all travel, food, accommodations, and other expenses incurred by the franchisee, their representatives, or employees when attending these training sessions.
This means that beyond any potential fees for the training itself, a Burros Fries franchisee needs to budget for transportation, lodging, meals, and incidentals for themselves and their staff when participating in optional or required additional training programs offered by the franchisor. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as it ensures the franchisee bears the cost of upgrading their skills and knowledge after the initial training period.
