What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Burros Fries's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wishes to open additional Burros Fries locations, they must buy the rights to additional franchises. Each additional business requires a separate Franchise Agreement, as detailed in Section 9.D of the agreement.
These separate franchise agreements will dictate the terms of the applicable territory for each new location. This means that the territory for each additional Burros Fries business will be defined by its own franchise agreement, independent of the original location's territory.
In practical terms, a franchisee looking to expand must negotiate and sign a new agreement for each location, paying particular attention to the territory terms defined in each separate agreement. This ensures that each Burros Fries location operates under its own set of rules and territorial boundaries, preventing overlap or conflict between locations owned by the same franchisee.
