What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, Burros Fries can require vendors to guarantee a certain level of quality. Burros Fries maintains the right to demand that vendors and suppliers furnish specific information, execute a non-disclosure agreement, and commit to guaranteeing their level of quality. They may also need to produce sufficient samples for testing, with the franchisee bearing the expense of these tests.
Burros Fries has the discretion to approve vendors and suppliers based on factors such as demand, relevance to the system, price, value, quality, reliability, accuracy of product claims, safety, warranty, complaint handling, financial stability, litigation history, recall history, reputation, delivery frequency, appearance, and contributions to Burros Fries or any marketing fund. These standards may be found in the Operations Manual or in written notices to franchisees.
Burros Fries may also require franchisees to submit specifications, photographs, drawings, or other information and samples to ensure that items meet their standards. There is a product, vendor, and equipment assessment fee for supplier approval, and third-party testing may be required, with the franchisee covering the costs. Approvals can be revoked if a product, piece of equipment, vendor, or supplier fails to adhere to the specifications. Burros Fries will communicate approvals, disapprovals, or revocations in writing.
