We will furnish to you such guidance and assistance in connection with the operation of your Business, as we deem appropriate.
Such guidance and advice will include methods and operating procedures utilized by our affiliates. with regards to: ingredients, recipes, menu items (including food preparation), products, services, supplies using and maintaining kitchen equipment; leasing and/or purchasing guidelines, marketing strategies, efficiencies to manage high volume, guest service standards, hiring and training employees, general operating procedures, record keeping, accounting and inventory control methods.
You must pay all costs and expenses associated with these items.
Additional guidance and assistance may be made available to you at your written request and in our sole discretion at fees and charges established by us (Franchise Agreement, Sections 12.J, 20.A and 20.E).

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for covering the costs and expenses linked to the guidance and assistance offered by Burros Fries. This includes the initial and ongoing support provided by the franchisor.
Specifically, if more than three individuals attend the initial training program, the franchisee may incur a training fee of $300 per person for each half-day of training. For on-site supervision and assistance deemed necessary by Burros Fries, the franchisee will be responsible for covering transportation, room, board, and miscellaneous expenses for the franchisor's personnel during these visits. Additionally, refresher and continuing education meetings may involve a fee of $300 per person per half-day, along with the franchisee covering travel and accommodation expenses.
Furthermore, if a franchisee requests an inspection of their Business, the cost of that inspection will be at the franchisee's expense. Franchisees are also responsible for the costs associated with attending training programs, such as travel, room, and board. Moreover, if Burros Fries personnel visit the franchisee, the franchisee is responsible for covering their expenses. There may also be registration charges, not exceeding $300 per person per half-day, for refresher or continuing education programs, with the franchisee responsible for associated costs like travel and accommodation. The registration fee for the annual convention will not exceed $1,000 per person, with the franchisee covering travel, room, and board costs.
