What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Burros Fries's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Burros Fries is not obligated to reimburse franchisees for any technology-related expenses. The franchisee is responsible for supplier and licensor charges for the use, maintenance, support, and updates to required systems.
Burros Fries cannot estimate the future costs of technology items or required services, and franchisees must incur these costs, including any additions, modifications, and required networking and technology support services, even if these costs are not fully amortizable over the agreement's term. Franchisees are required to obtain designated technology item components and software within 90 days of receiving notice from Burros Fries.
This means that franchisees should be prepared to cover all costs associated with technology, software, networking, and support services necessary for operating the Burros Fries business. This includes initial purchases, ongoing maintenance, updates, and any modifications required by Burros Fries. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider these potential costs and factor them into their financial planning.
