What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Burros Fries's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is held at the corporate headquarters, unless the headquarters is moved. The training is required for the franchisee (or an Owner if the franchisee is an Entity) and at least one other designated manager. Burros Fries provides this training periodically as needed.

The initial training program is included in the initial franchise fee, but franchisees are responsible for covering all costs associated with attending the training, such as travel, room, and board. If a manager does not satisfactorily complete the training program, the franchisee can select and enroll a substitute manager. Burros Fries also has the right to require franchisees and their managers to complete refresher training programs during the term of the Franchise Agreement, which would also be furnished at the corporate headquarters.

After the initial training, Burros Fries may provide additional training to new managers at the franchisee's request, which may require an Additional Training Fee of up to $300 per ½ day per person. The trainee will be responsible for all costs related to attending the training, including travel, room, and board. Burros Fries may also provide ongoing training through memos, newsletters, telephone, webinars, video training, or at annual conferences. Refresher training or continuing education, other than by phone, webinars, or video, may have a registration charge not exceeding $300 per person per ½ day. The registration fee for conferences will not exceed $1,000 per person, and these fees may increase based on the actual costs incurred by Burros Fries.
