What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Burros Fries's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, after the first year of operation, a franchisee is required to retain a General Manager who is responsible for overseeing the general management of the business and using their best efforts in the operation of the business. This individual must also satisfy the applicable training requirements as outlined in the Franchise Agreement. The General Manager's identity must be disclosed to Burros Fries, and they must have successfully completed the franchisor's training program.
The General Manager may be the franchisee or one of the owners, but this is not required, nor is it required that they have any equity in the franchise. The General Manager must meet all of Burros Fries's standards and criteria for the position as set forth in the Operations Manual.
Furthermore, the General Manager will oversee operations, supervise employees, provide continuing guidance, oversee food preparation, enforce service standards, and properly process paperwork, reports, and complaints. Burros Fries retains the right to have the General Manager, or any other manager, present during any inspection they conduct.
