What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Burros Fries's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use approved software for their business operations. The FDD specifies that franchisees must use only approved technology items, which include computers, POS (Point of Sale) systems, sound systems, and related software. This requirement ensures uniformity and standardization across all Burros Fries locations.
This mandate extends to various aspects of the business, including ingredients, supplies, kitchen equipment, and services. Burros Fries retains the right to add, modify, or change the approved products, supplies, equipment, vendors, and suppliers at its discretion. Franchisees are obligated to promptly implement these changes at their own expense.
Furthermore, the FDD emphasizes the confidentiality of proprietary information, including software and service methods. Franchisees must protect this information and only disclose it to employees who need access to it for business operations. This underscores the importance of adhering to Burros Fries's approved software and technology to maintain the integrity and security of the system.
In summary, a Burros Fries franchisee must use the specific software that Burros Fries approves, and they must also keep that software and related operational information confidential.
