What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Burros Fries' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, once a franchisee receives notice that the intranet system is operational, they must purchase and install any necessary computer additions. The franchisee must also establish and maintain an electronic connection with the intranet system, enabling the franchisor to send and receive messages. This connectivity must be maintained throughout the term of the Franchise Agreement.
This requirement ensures that Burros Fries franchisees stay informed about important updates, standards, and specifications for operating their business. The intranet system serves as a key communication channel for the franchisor to disseminate information and maintain consistency across all franchise locations. The FDD also states that Burros Fries may use part of the System Advertising Fund to develop and maintain the intranet system.
It is important to note that Burros Fries retains the right to dismantle the intranet system at any time without notice or liability to the franchisee. However, while the system is in place, franchisees are obligated to maintain their connection and stay informed of its contents. This highlights the importance of a franchisee's access to and regular monitoring of the intranet system for compliance and operational updates.
