What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Burros & Fries franchisees are required to use only the approved technology, including software, specified by the franchisor. The FDD does not explicitly state the procedure for a franchisee to suggest modifications or enhancements to the software. However, given the franchisor's control over the technology used in the business, it is implied that any suggestions would need to be communicated to Burros & Fries for consideration.

Since the FDD emphasizes the importance of maintaining uniformity and consistency across all franchise locations, Burros & Fries likely has a process for evaluating and potentially implementing changes to the software. This ensures that any modifications align with the overall brand standards and operational procedures. Franchisees should not independently alter or modify the software without prior approval from Burros & Fries.

Therefore, a prospective Burros Fries franchisee should inquire with the franchisor about the specific process for submitting ideas or suggestions for software modifications or enhancements. Understanding this process will help the franchisee ensure they are following the proper channels for communication and compliance with the franchise agreement. It would also be beneficial to understand how the franchisor evaluates and implements such suggestions, and what criteria are used to determine whether a change is adopted.
