What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for equipping the Business with approved signage. Burros Fries has spent considerable time designing the decoration and outfitting of a Burros & Fries Business with specific kitchen equipment, furnishing, fixtures, décor items and signage, which is part of their trade dress. Franchisees must purchase these items from Burros Fries, its affiliates, or approved vendors as specified in the Operations Manual and Section 12.T of the Franchise Agreement.
To maintain uniformity and quality, franchisees must lease or purchase all products, supplies, kitchen equipment, and services from approved sources. Franchisees are prohibited from buying or leasing from unapproved vendors without written approval from Burros Fries, which will be granted or denied within 30 days of a written request. Failure to comply with these purchasing requirements may result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement.
Burros Fries may consider factors such as price, quality, safety, design, and the vendor's reputation when approving vendors or suppliers. Franchisees must also use only the Names and Marks approved in writing by Burros Fries and must obtain approval for any use of printed material bearing the Names or Marks, unless the item was supplied by Burros Fries. This ensures that all signage and branding meet the franchisor's standards and protect their trademarks.
