What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Burros Fries Franchise Disclosure Document, Burros Fries may provide additional on-site supervision and assistance as they deem necessary and in their discretion. These visits are for advising franchisees on food preparation, menu items, products, services, kitchen equipment operation, customer service, operational, sales and marketing matters, and personnel issues. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering the transportation, room and board, and miscellaneous expenses incurred by Burros Fries' personnel during these visits. The visits will occur per the terms of the Franchise Agreement or at the franchisee's request, but the timing and dates are selected by Burros Fries.

Burros Fries will monitor the operation of the franchisee's business and inspect the inventory of products, supplies, and kitchen equipment at their own cost. If a franchisee fails the inspection twice in any two-year period, Burros Fries may charge a fee of $1,000. If the franchisee wants an inspection and Burros Fries has not inspected the business in the past twelve months, the franchisee can request an inspection in writing, which Burros Fries will perform within three months. However, the franchisee will bear the cost of any inspections they request.

Burros Fries also offers ongoing support through other means. They will continue to consult with franchisees at no additional charge regarding policies, approved products, menu and retail items, supplies, food preparation and presentation, kitchen equipment, vendor and supplier relationships, industry developments, sales, advertising, marketing and promotion strategies, and assistance to resolve operational problems outside the scope of the Operations Manual. They also provide a telephone hotline, free of charge, to answer questions from franchisees or their staff during regular business hours (Pacific Time Zone).
