What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Burros Fries's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Burros Fries may offer additional training resources to franchisees, including refresher training programs. Burros Fries has the option to charge a reasonable fee for this additional training if they deem it appropriate. However, the franchisee is responsible for covering all travel, food, accommodations, and other expenses incurred while attending the training.
This policy means that while the initial franchise fee covers the complete training program at the corporate headquarters, franchisees should budget for potential additional training costs. These costs can include both the training fee itself and the associated travel and lodging expenses. It is important for prospective franchisees to inquire about the frequency and cost of these additional training programs to accurately estimate their ongoing expenses.
Burros Fries also offers ongoing support via phone and email during regular business hours at no charge. This support covers updates to approved products and services, manual specifications, and marketing and operational updates. This ongoing support is separate from the additional training programs for which a fee may be charged. Franchisees should clarify what specific topics are covered in the free ongoing support versus the paid additional training to make informed decisions about participating in the fee-based programs.
In addition to refresher training programs, Burros Fries may conduct an annual conference for all franchisees, with a registration fee not exceeding $1,000 per person. Franchisees are also responsible for travel, food, and accommodation costs associated with attending the conference. Burros Fries may also provide continuing education sessions with a registration charge of $300 per day per person, with the franchisee responsible for associated costs.
