What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Burneys Sweets More's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees generally have the right to set prices for goods and services at their shops. However, Burneys Sweets More retains the right to influence pricing under certain conditions. Specifically, if permitted by law in the franchisee's jurisdiction, Burneys Sweets More reserves the right to establish minimum or maximum prices, implement system-wide promotional pricing, and set specific prices for particular goods and services.

This means that while a Burneys Sweets More franchisee typically has pricing autonomy, the franchisor can override this in specific instances. The ability to implement system-wide promotional pricing allows Burneys Sweets More to maintain brand consistency and competitiveness across all locations. This could be beneficial during certain times of the year or to respond to market changes.

However, this also means that a franchisee may be required to participate in promotions that they don't believe are beneficial for their specific location. It is important for a prospective franchisee to understand the laws in their jurisdiction regarding pricing control and to discuss with Burneys Sweets More the circumstances under which they would implement such pricing strategies.
