What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Burneys Sweets More's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have very limited ability to change or modify the Burneys Sweets More system. The FDD emphasizes that the franchisor, Burneys Sweets More, has the right to modify the System, including operating procedures, menu items, products, and services, and the franchisee must comply with these changes at their own expense. There is no limit to Burneys Sweets More's ability to modify the system. Franchisees may also be required to pay additional fees to the franchisor or third-party vendors as a result of these system changes.

Burneys Sweets More franchisees must adhere to the franchisor's standards and specifications. Franchisees are required to maintain uniformity in products and services and must not display any signs or advertising that the franchisor objects to.

Burneys Sweets More also has the right to require franchisees to remodel or re-equip their franchised business to conform to the current image of Burneys Sweets More franchises, which could involve substantial additional investment by the franchisee. Franchisees are responsible for notifying Burneys Sweets More immediately of any situation that could negatively impact the brand or system and must follow the franchisor's instructions in managing such situations. Overall, the Burneys Sweets More franchise agreement grants significant control to the franchisor, limiting the franchisee's ability to make independent changes or modifications.
