What assistance must a Burneys Sweets More franchisee provide during inspections?

According to Burneys Sweets More's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to cooperate with the franchisor's representatives during inspections. This cooperation involves providing any assistance that Burneys Sweets More may reasonably request. This includes using communication or audiovisual technology, such as a smartphone, to facilitate remote inspections by Burneys Sweets More or its agents.

Additionally, franchisees must provide the necessary assistance to enable Burneys Sweets More to contact and interview architects, designers, employees, contractors, vendors, and suppliers. This also extends to the franchisee's customers and former customers. The purpose of these inspections is to ensure compliance with the requirements outlined in the franchise agreement.

Burneys Sweets More has the right to enter the shop, with or without notice, to inspect, photograph, and/or video ongoing construction, leasehold improvements, equipment, and operations. These inspections can be conducted in person or remotely using communication technology. Franchisees are expected to take steps to correct any deficiencies detected during these inspections, including immediately addressing issues with construction or leasehold improvements and discontinuing the use of non-conforming equipment or materials.
