The Franchised Restaurant shall be open for business at a minimum from 6:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M., Monday through Saturday and 7:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. on Sunday, fifty-two (52) weeks a year, unless otherwise authorized or directed by BKC or unless prohibited by applicable law. The Franchised Restaurant may be closed on Thanksgiving Day and/or Christmas Day if a majority of the BURGER KING Restaurants in the market area (DMA) in which the Franchised Restaurant is located elect to close on the holiday.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Burger King's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchised restaurant must operate a minimum of 52 weeks per year. The minimum hours of operation are from 6:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M., Monday through Saturday, and from 7:00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M. on Sunday.
However, Burger King reserves the right to authorize or direct different hours of operation, and applicable laws may also dictate alternative hours. This means that while the FDD specifies minimum hours, franchisees must stay flexible and adapt to any changes mandated by Burger King or local regulations.
Burger King restaurants have the option to close on Thanksgiving Day and/or Christmas Day if a majority of Burger King restaurants within the same Designated Market Area (DMA) also choose to close on those holidays. This provides a degree of local autonomy, allowing franchisees to align their holiday hours with the prevailing practices in their specific market area.
