Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If this Agreement is for Franchisee's second or subsequent Franchised Business, we may reduce at our sole discretion the number of managers required to complete training and/or not require a member of the ownership group to attend training, but in any event a trained and approved manager must be on duty at all times that your Franchised Business is open.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Buns On Fire Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee owns a second or subsequent Buns On Fire franchise, the franchisor may reduce the number of managers required to complete the initial training program, and may not require a member of the ownership group to attend training. However, Buns On Fire stipulates that a trained and approved manager must be on duty at all times that the franchised business is open.

This means that while the owner of multiple Buns On Fire locations may not be required to be present themselves or send multiple managers to initial training, they are still obligated to ensure a trained and approved manager is always present during business hours. This ensures operational standards and customer service are maintained, regardless of the owner's direct involvement.

For a prospective franchisee, this highlights the importance of either being personally involved in the day-to-day operations or hiring a competent and trained manager. Even if the franchisee owns multiple locations, they cannot forgo having qualified management present at each Buns On Fire restaurant during operating hours. This requirement aims to uphold the brand's standards and protect the customer experience.
