What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Buns On Fire Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees face specific restrictions regarding how they can reach customers. While franchisees can sell to customers who visit their physical location regardless of where they live, they are significantly limited in engaging in promotional activities or sales through electronic means.
Specifically, Buns On Fire franchisees are prohibited from selling products or services through the Internet, the World Wide Web, or any similar electronic delivery system. They also cannot use catalogs, mail order, telecopy, or other electronic communications to reach customers outside their protected territory. This means a franchisee's ability to market and sell online is severely restricted, potentially limiting their reach and sales volume.
Additionally, Buns On Fire franchisees cannot place advertisements in printed media, television, or radio that target customers outside their protected territory. They are also barred from selling proprietary products to any business for resale. These restrictions are designed to protect the territorial rights of other franchisees and maintain control over the distribution of Buns On Fire products. A prospective franchisee should carefully consider these limitations and how they might impact their business strategy and revenue potential.
