Answer from 2025 FDD Document

  • (ii.) The initial pre-opening manager training for up to two persons is included in the initial franchise fee.

However, without regard to the number of managers trained prior to opening the Franchised Business, all trainings subsequent to opening the Franchised Business shall be subject to Franchisor's then current training fees.

  • (v.) If Franchisee requests that Franchisor provide its training program to additional trainees, whether before the Franchised Business opens or while it is operating, Franchisee shall pay Franchisor's then-current training fee not later than seven (7) days prior to the commencement of the training session, in addition to paying all trainees' out-of-pocket expenses and applicable wages.

  • (vi.) In addition, the Franchisor may, in its sole discretion, assign one or more representative who will travel to Franchisee's location for a period of approximately fourteen (14) days to conduct a pre- opening and/or post-opening training program.

Franchisee agrees to reimburse Franchisor for the expenses incurred by such representatives while providing opening training

and assistance, including, but not limited to, travel, lodging and meals. In addition, Franchisee shall pay the Franchisor's then-current training fee for any training at Franchisee's location.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Buns On Fire Franchise Disclosure Document, while the initial pre-opening manager training for up to two people is included in the initial franchise fee, all training after the franchise opens is subject to Buns On Fire's then-current training fees. This means that franchisees should anticipate ongoing costs for training throughout the life of their franchise.

If a Buns On Fire franchisee requests additional training for more trainees, whether before or after the franchise opens, they must pay Buns On Fire's current training fee no later than seven days before the training starts. The franchisee is also responsible for covering all out-of-pocket expenses and wages for the trainees.

Additionally, Buns On Fire may send a representative to the franchisee's location for about 14 days to conduct pre-opening or post-opening training. In this case, the franchisee must reimburse Buns On Fire for the representative's expenses, including travel, lodging, and meals, and also pay Buns On Fire's current training fee for the on-site training.
