You may not open the Franchise Business until you and your staff (as required) have completed Initial Training and satisfied all of the other pre-opening obligations, including, securing all required licenses and insurance, hiring sufficient staff, ordering and receiving your Fixture Package and Initial Inventory, build out of the space in accordance with our System standards, and completing a grand opening campaign that we have approved.
You must complete Initial Training and be ready to open within six (6) months of the signing of the Franchise Agreement unless otherwise specified in writing. This is the typical length of time required to open a Franchise Business. Your ability to obtain a lease, financing, or building permits, zoning and local ordinances, or delayed installation of equipment, fixtures, and signs may also affect when you open the Franchise Business. If you fail to open your Franchise Business by the required opening date designated in the Franchise Agreement, we may terminate the Franchise Agreement.

According to the 2025 Buns On Fire Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must complete several pre-opening obligations before commencing business operations. These include completing initial training for both the franchisee and their staff, securing all required licenses and insurance policies, and hiring a sufficient number of staff members to properly operate the Buns On Fire location.
Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for ordering and receiving the required fixture package and initial inventory necessary to start the business. The franchisee must also ensure the build-out of the physical space conforms to Buns On Fire's system standards, guaranteeing a consistent brand experience. Finally, a grand opening campaign, approved by Buns On Fire, must be executed to create awareness and attract customers to the new location.
Furthermore, the FDD states that the franchisee must complete Initial Training and be ready to open within six months of signing the Franchise Agreement. However, the franchisee's ability to obtain a lease, financing, building permits, zoning and local ordinances, or potential delays in equipment, fixtures, and signs installation may affect the opening date. Failure to open the Buns On Fire franchise by the designated date in the Franchise Agreement may result in termination of the agreement.
