What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Buns On Fire Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may be able to designate an alternate address for notices under specific circumstances related to the lease agreement for the franchised business premises. Specifically, if the lease contains a provision where the lessor must give written notice to Buns On Fire (concurrently with the giving of such notice to the franchisee) of any default by the franchisee under the lease, such notice shall be sent to Buns On Fire at its headquarters, or such other address as Buns On Fire may specify in writing to the lessor.

This means that while the franchisee themselves may not directly designate an alternate address for all notices, Buns On Fire can specify an address to the lessor for default notices. This ensures that Buns On Fire is informed of any lease defaults, allowing them to take appropriate action, such as curing the default, to protect their interest in the franchise location.

It is important for a prospective Buns On Fire franchisee to understand the terms of their lease agreement and any related addenda or assignments. They should also communicate with Buns On Fire regarding any specific requirements or procedures for handling notices related to the lease, to ensure compliance and avoid potential defaults.
