What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there is no limit to what a franchisee can spend on opening advertising. However, Bumble Roofing requires a minimum spend of $20,000 on opening advertising over the six-month period, commencing the month prior to opening and continuing for the five months after opening. These funds must be spent on advertising that Bumble Roofing approves.

Bumble Roofing requires franchisees to use the marketing materials they provide in camera-ready form. If a franchisee wants to develop their own advertising materials, Bumble Roofing must approve them before use. Franchisees cannot use any advertising or marketing materials, including press releases, unless Bumble Roofing has approved them in writing. Bumble Roofing will respond to requests for approval within 14 business days; if they do not respond within that time, the materials are deemed disapproved.

This policy gives Bumble Roofing significant control over how franchisees market their new businesses. While there's no upper limit on spending, the approval process ensures that all advertising aligns with the Bumble Roofing brand standards. Prospective franchisees should factor in the time required for advertising approval when planning their marketing campaigns and understand that non-approved materials cannot be used.
