Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We have standards and specifications for your Products, Services, equipment, tools, office, vehicle, uniforms, inventory, supplies, forms, advertising materials, computer hardware and software, accounting systems, bookkeeping service, and/or other services and products used in, sold or provided through your Roofing Business ("Required Items"). We will notify you of our specifications and standards. To maintain our standards of consistent, high-quality products, customer recognition, advertising support, value and uniformity in Roofing Business, we may require you to purchase or lease some or all Required Items per our specifications and standards. We also reserve the right to require you to purchase any Required Items only from our designated or approved suppliers. The term "suppliers," also includes vendors, manufacturers and distributors. We have also identified a number of preferred, but not required, suppliers for other Required Items. Except as disclosed in this Item 8, neither we nor an affiliate is currently the only designated or approved supplier of any Required Items. We reserve the right, however, at any time and at our discretion, to designate ourselves or one of our affiliates as the only designated or approved supplier, or one of several designated or approved suppliers, of any additional Required Items.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific standards and specifications for various aspects of their business, including uniforms. Bumble Roofing outlines that these standards are in place to ensure consistency, maintain high-quality products, promote customer recognition, and provide advertising support and uniformity across all Bumble Roofing franchises.

The FDD indicates that Bumble Roofing will inform franchisees of the specific standards and specifications for required items such as uniforms. These specifications are part of the confidential operations manual that Bumble Roofing provides to its franchisees. Bumble Roofing also retains the right to modify these standards and specifications, providing franchisees with 30 days' prior written notice of any changes.

While the FDD mentions that Bumble Roofing has standards for uniforms, it does not provide specific details about what those standards are. For example, the FDD does not describe the style, color, or required elements of the uniform. A prospective franchisee should review the operations manual and ask Bumble Roofing for more detailed information about the uniform requirements to fully understand the expectations and costs involved.
