We have also identified a number of preferred, but not required, suppliers for other Required Items. Except as disclosed in this Item 8, neither we nor an affiliate is currently the only designated or approved supplier of any Required Items. Except for certain Required Items, we do not require that you purchase any equipment, tools, goods or services from us, our affiliates or any other source we designate. You may purchase these from any supplier, but we reserve the right to designate other required suppliers in the future.
You must lease or buy service trucks that are large and durable enough to accommodate our standard complement of equipment, tools and accessories. While we currently specify the options of make(s) and model(s) of truck you must acquire or lease, we do not specify the source from which you must acquire or lease it provided it meets our specifications. Your truck(s) must be in good working condition and be outfitted with our trade dress so that they will look the same as other franchisees' trucks when emblazoned with the BUMBLE ROOFING® name, logo and decorations.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company has established standards and specifications for a franchisee's office. These standards are outlined in the Bumble Roofing confidential operations manual, which is loaned to the franchisee. Bumble Roofing specifies that franchisees must operate their roofing business in compliance with the Franchise Agreement and the standards detailed in the operations manual.
Bumble Roofing retains the right to modify these standards and specifications, providing franchisees with 30 days' prior written notice of any changes. This includes the right to require franchisees to sell additional or different services and products. The standards and specifications cover various aspects of the business, including products, services, equipment, tools, office, vehicles, uniforms, inventory, supplies, forms, advertising materials, computer hardware and software, accounting systems, and bookkeeping services.
To maintain consistent quality, customer recognition, and uniformity, Bumble Roofing may require franchisees to purchase or lease certain required items according to their specifications and standards. Franchisees may also be required to purchase these items from designated or approved suppliers. The FDD indicates that any required or preferred suppliers are detailed in the Operations Manual. If a franchisee wishes to use an alternative supplier or product, they must submit samples and detailed information for evaluation, and Bumble Roofing will notify them of the approval or disapproval within 90 days. While there is currently no fee for this evaluation, Bumble Roofing reserves the right to charge a fee in the future, not exceeding $200 per request, and may also require reimbursement for evaluation costs.
