What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must purchase and use computer hardware that meets Bumble Roofing's specifications, which may change periodically requiring upgrades or changes to equipment and software. Franchisees are also required to pay a monthly Technology Fee for the use of Bumble Roofing's technology platform, software, and electronic communications system. An email account will be provided for use with the Roofing Business.
Bumble Roofing maintains standards and specifications for computer hardware and software, among other items, used in the franchise. These standards and specifications are communicated to the franchisee by Bumble Roofing. To maintain consistent, high-quality products, customer recognition, advertising support, value and uniformity in the Roofing Business, Bumble Roofing may require franchisees to purchase or lease some or all Required Items per their specifications and standards.
If a franchisee wants to purchase a product from a supplier that does not appear on Bumble Roofing's designated supplier list or use a product that is not on their approved-product list, the franchisee must first furnish Bumble Roofing with samples of the product from the supplier. The franchisee must also provide as much information as possible about the product's composition, properties, intended uses, lab and field test results, the manufacturer's information (location, years in business, quality control standards, and warranty policies), and any other information requested by Bumble Roofing. Bumble Roofing will notify the franchisee of their approval or disapproval of the alternative supplier within 90 days of the request to evaluate the supplier. Currently, there is no fee to evaluate an alternative supplier, but Bumble Roofing reserves the right to charge a fee in the future, which will not exceed $200 per request. Bumble Roofing also reserves the right to require the franchisee to reimburse them for costs and expenses in connection with evaluating the supplier. Bumble Roofing may revoke approval of any supplier with 30 days' prior written notice.
