What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, specifically the Washington Addendum, court decisions may supersede the franchise agreement in areas of termination and renewal of the franchise. This means that even if the Bumble Roofing franchise agreement has specific clauses about how the agreement can be terminated or renewed, a court ruling could override those clauses.

This is particularly important for prospective franchisees in Washington because it suggests that the standard terms of the franchise agreement might not always be the final word. Franchisees should be aware that their rights and obligations regarding termination and renewal could be affected by legal precedents. It is also important to note that RCW 19.100.180, the Washington Franchise Investment Protection Act, may also supersede the franchise agreement in the areas of termination and renewal.

Given this possibility, prospective Bumble Roofing franchisees in Washington should seek legal counsel to understand the potential impact of state laws and court decisions on their franchise agreement. They should also inquire about any past instances where Bumble Roofing's standard franchise terms have been challenged or altered due to legal rulings to fully understand their rights and obligations.
