What is required of a Bumble Roofing franchisee as a condition of Bumble Roofing sitting on their board?
Bumble_Roofing Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
In the event we are required to sit on your board in order for you to obtain the requisite permits, registrations or licenses due to state laws that require an entity to have a certain amount of related experience to obtain the applicable permits, registrations, or licenses, we will not acquire any ownership or voting rights on the board. However, as a condition to sitting on your board, we will require you to use a third-party professional services organization that will be responsible for handling your payroll and to assist you with your obligations to comply with various state employment law. Once you obtain your own permits, registrations, and licenses, we will resign from your board.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, in certain situations, Bumble Roofing may be required to sit on a franchisee's board to help them obtain necessary permits, registrations, or licenses, particularly if state laws mandate a certain level of related experience for entities seeking these credentials. However, Bumble Roofing will not acquire any ownership or voting rights in the franchisee's board.
As a condition for Bumble Roofing to sit on the board, the franchisee is required to use a third-party professional services organization. This organization will manage the franchisee's payroll and assist with compliance regarding state employment laws.
Once the Bumble Roofing franchisee independently secures all the required permits, registrations, and licenses, Bumble Roofing will resign from the board. This arrangement is designed to provide initial support to franchisees in navigating regulatory requirements, ensuring they can operate their Bumble Roofing business in compliance with local and state laws.
