What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the transfer fee is the greater of 20% of the then-current franchise fee or $10,000. This fee is charged when a franchisee sells or transfers their franchise to a new owner.
Fifty percent of the transfer fee is due when the franchisee requests to transfer the franchise, and this portion is non-refundable. The remaining balance must be paid at the closing of the transfer.
However, Bumble Roofing will waive the transfer fee if the franchise is transferred to a member of the franchisee's immediate family, such as a spouse or child. This provides an opportunity for franchisees to pass their business on to their family without incurring this fee.
