What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumble Roofing Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to provide proof of their Individual Advertising Investment expenditures. During the first 12 months of operation, a Bumble Roofing franchisee must invest a minimum of $65,000 for marketing purposes within their territory. If a franchisee has additional contiguous territories, they must invest an additional $15,000 per territory. These funds are specifically designated for local advertising, promotions, and marketing of the Bumble Roofing business.
The FDD states that Bumble Roofing may prescribe the frequency with which franchisees must submit proof of these advertising expenditures, which could be monthly or annually, or upon request. While the FDD specifies that franchisees must submit proof of expenditures, it does not detail the specific types of documentation that would be considered acceptable proof.
Prospective Bumble Roofing franchisees should clarify with the franchisor what specific documentation is required to demonstrate Individual Advertising Investment expenditures, such as invoices, receipts, or other records. Additionally, franchisees must obtain prior written approval from Bumble Roofing for all marketing, promotional, and advertising materials. Bumble Roofing also retains the right to collect the minimum required Individual Advertising Investment from the franchisee and administer it on marketing and advertising investments in the franchisee's territory on their behalf.
