What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use the Marks and Copyrighted Materials only in approved formats, including advertising, promotional materials, invoices, signage, business checks, business cards, stationery, and promotional items. These formats must be pre-approved by Bumble Roofing. The franchisee must also follow any instructions regarding the Marks and Copyrighted Materials as provided in the manual or otherwise given by Bumble Roofing. The franchisee is responsible for using the correct copyright notice on all advertising and promotional materials and using the Marks with the appropriate superscript symbols as directed by Bumble Roofing.
The FDD does not explicitly state whether Bumble Roofing will reimburse franchisees for costs incurred when modifications to the use of Marks are required. However, it does state that franchisees must pay the duplication costs of any advertising or promotion material provided by Bumble Roofing. This suggests that franchisees generally bear the costs associated with using and modifying the Marks.
Given the lack of specific information about reimbursement for modifications to the Marks, a prospective Bumble Roofing franchisee should seek clarification from the franchisor regarding financial responsibilities for these types of changes. Understanding who bears the cost of these modifications is crucial for budgeting and financial planning.
