Is a Bumble Roofing franchisee required to sign Internet and intranet usage agreements?

According to the 2025 Bumble Roofing Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to sign Internet and intranet usage agreements, if any. This means that if Bumble Roofing has such agreements in place, a franchisee must sign them.

This requirement ensures that all Bumble Roofing franchisees adhere to the company's standards and policies regarding online activities. It also allows Bumble Roofing to maintain control over its brand image and marketing efforts on the internet. The franchisor retains the sole right to market on the Internet and use the Marks on the Internet, including all use of websites, domain names, URL's, directory addresses, metatags, linking, advertising, and co-branding and other arrangements. Franchisee may not independently market on the Internet, or use any domain name, address, locator, link, metatag, or search technique, with words or symbols similar to the Marks or otherwise establish any presence on the Internet without Franchisor's prior written approval.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they must be prepared to agree to Bumble Roofing's internet and intranet usage terms. They should carefully review these agreements to understand their obligations and restrictions regarding online activities related to the franchise. Franchisee will provide Franchisor with content for Franchisor's Internet marketing, and will sign Internet and intranet usage agreements, if any. Franchisee must also take reasonable steps to verify that Franchisee's suppliers, lenders, landlords, customers, and governmental agencies on which Franchisee relies, are reasonably protected. This may include taking reasonable steps to secure Franchisee's systems, including, but not limited to, firewalls, access code protection, anti-virus systems, and use of backup systems.

Furthermore, Bumble Roofing franchisees must acquire, maintain, and upgrade hardware, software, information processing and communication systems, and Internet and other network access providers, as prescribed in the Manual and as modified periodically by Franchisor. Franchisee shall comply with any separate software or other license agreements that Franchisor or its designee use in connection with the System. Franchisee shall utilize Franchisor's required software, and if established, proprietary database management and intranet system as the exclusive means for tracking and maintaining customer, vendor, and lead information, and for such other uses as prescribed by Franchisor periodically in the Manual.
