Is a Bumble Roofing franchisee required to purchase QuickBooks Online from the franchisor?

According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase QuickBooks Online directly from Bumble Roofing. The FDD also states that franchisees are required to use the bookkeeping service provided by Bumble Roofing, for which a fee is charged.

While Bumble Roofing mandates the purchase of QuickBooks Online from them, they do allow franchisees to seek approval for alternative suppliers for other required items. To do so, a franchisee must furnish samples and detailed information about the product and supplier for evaluation. Bumble Roofing will then notify the franchisee of their decision within 90 days. Although there is currently no fee for evaluating alternative suppliers, Bumble Roofing reserves the right to charge a fee in the future, not exceeding $200 per request, and may also require reimbursement for evaluation costs. Bumble Roofing can revoke approval of any supplier with 30 days' prior written notice.
