What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees have several obligations to protect the franchisor's copyrighted materials. Bumble Roofing franchisees must safeguard the reputation and prestige of the brand's marks and copyrighted materials, and they must avoid any actions that could tarnish the brand's image or diminish the goodwill associated with the marks. Franchisees are prohibited from diluting the value of the goodwill attached to the marks, either directly or indirectly, and they must not assist others in doing so.
Bumble Roofing franchisees are required to use the marks and copyrighted materials only in approved formats, including lettering, logos, print styles, forms, and formats for advertising, promotional materials, invoices, signage, business checks, business cards, stationery, and promotional items. These materials must be approved by Bumble Roofing. Franchisees must also promptly follow any instructions provided in the manual or otherwise given by the franchisor regarding the use of marks and copyrighted materials.
To further protect Bumble Roofing's copyrighted materials, franchisees must include a specific copyright notice on all advertising, promotional, and other materials used in connection with the products and services offered. The notice should read: "© (year of first publication). BUMBLE ROOFING FRANCHISOR, LLC, All Rights Reserved." Additionally, franchisees must use the marks with a superscript "®", ™ or "SM", as specified by the franchisor, unless otherwise instructed. These measures ensure that franchisees properly represent the brand and protect the franchisor's intellectual property rights.
