What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally restricted from advertising outside of their designated territory without prior approval from the franchisor. Specifically, during the first 12 months of operation, a Bumble Roofing franchisee must spend a minimum of $65,000 on promotional advertising within their territory. An additional $15,000 is required for each additional contiguous territory.
This policy ensures that Bumble Roofing maintains control over its brand image and marketing strategies. By requiring franchisor approval for advertising outside the territory, Bumble Roofing can prevent potential conflicts between franchisees and ensure consistent messaging. This also allows Bumble Roofing to manage its brand reputation and avoid any confusion that might arise from uncoordinated advertising efforts.
For a prospective Bumble Roofing franchisee, this means they must focus their initial advertising efforts within their assigned territory and adhere to the minimum spending requirements. If they wish to expand their advertising reach beyond their territory, they must seek and obtain approval from Bumble Roofing, which may be granted or withheld at the franchisor's discretion. This condition is important for franchisees to consider when developing their marketing plans and budget.
