What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Bumble Roofing Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 17 and its associated state-specific addenda cover renewal, termination, transfer, and dispute resolution. While the excerpts of Item 17 provided do not contain the specific section in the Franchise Agreement that discusses renewal or extension terms, they do indicate that the Franchise Agreement itself contains this information.
Several state addenda within Item 17 modify or add to the terms of the Franchise Agreement, including those related to renewal. For example, the California addendum notes that the franchise agreement requires franchisees to execute a general release of claims upon renewal or transfer. Similarly, the Maryland addendum states that the general release required as a condition of renewal, sale and/or assignment/transfer will not apply to any liability under the Maryland Franchise Registration and Disclosure Law.
Prospective Bumble Roofing franchisees should carefully review Item 17 of the FDD and the Franchise Agreement itself to understand the specific terms and conditions for renewal and extension. Since the provided excerpts do not detail the renewal process, it is essential to ask Bumble Roofing for a clear explanation of the renewal terms, including any fees, conditions, and the process for applying for a renewal or extension. Franchisees should also inquire about the length of the renewal term and any performance criteria required for renewal eligibility.
