Who designates the allocation and directs how a Bumble Roofing franchisee should spend their Opening Advertising?

Bumble_Roofing Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

We will designate the allocation and direct how you should spend your Opening Advertising.

Over the course of the period beginning the month prior to opening your Roofing Business and the five months after opening, you will launch a marketing and advertising campaign in the Territory. You must spend a minimum of $20,000 during that six-month period on advertising approved by us ("Opening Advertising"). These amounts are in addition to your Individual Advertising obligations discussed below. There is no limit on what you can spend on advertising. You must use the marketing materials we provide to you in camera ready form. If you wish to develop your own advertising materials, you must have them approved by us in writing prior to use. You may not use any advertising or marketing materials, including press releases, unless they have been approved in advance in writing by us, which approval may be withheld in our discretion. We will respond to your request for approval within 14 business days. If for some reason, we are not able to respond within 14 business days, the materials are deemed disapproved. We do not provide for placement of local advertising on your behalf. You are responsible for local advertising placement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Bumble Roofing designates the allocation and directs how a franchisee should spend their Opening Advertising.

Specifically, the FDD states that franchisees must launch a marketing and advertising campaign in their territory, beginning the month prior to opening their Bumble Roofing business and continuing for the five months after opening. Franchisees are required to spend a minimum of $20,000 during that six-month period on advertising approved by Bumble Roofing.

These funds are separate from the franchisee's individual advertising obligations. While there is no limit to how much a franchisee can spend on advertising, all advertising materials, including those developed by the franchisee, must be approved in writing by Bumble Roofing prior to use. Bumble Roofing will respond to requests for approval within 14 business days; if no response is received within that timeframe, the materials are deemed disapproved. Bumble Roofing does not handle the placement of local advertising for franchisees, making the franchisee responsible for this task.
