ur Initial Franchise Fee.

  • (3) Travel and Living Expenses While Training. We provide training at our corporate office and training center located in or around Richmond, Virginia or at another location we designate. You must pay for airfare, meals, transportation costs, salaries, benefits, lodging and incidental expenses for all initial training program attendees.
  • Equipment and Vehicles. We do not require that you purchase a vehicle if you already own a suitable one in good condition that meets our then-current standards and specifications and can be dedicated to the Roofing Business, however, you will be required to purchase the vehicle graphics and equipment package from us or our affiliates. If you do not already own a suitable vehicle, you must either lease or purchase one. The above estimates assume that you will lease or purchase a vehicle that meets our then-current standards and specifications, in addition to the required vehicle graphics and equipment to operate a single Franchise in a single territory.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is held at the corporate office and training center located in or around Richmond, Virginia, or at another location that Bumble Roofing designates. The franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses for themselves and any attendees during the training period. These expenses include airfare, meals, transportation, salaries, benefits, lodging, and incidental costs. The estimated cost for travel and living expenses while training ranges from $2,000 to $5,000, as detailed in Item 7 of the FDD.

This means that prospective Bumble Roofing franchisees should factor in these costs when evaluating the overall initial investment. The location of the training can vary, so franchisees should confirm the exact location with Bumble Roofing to accurately budget for travel and accommodation. It is also important to note that these expenses are in addition to the initial franchise fee and other startup costs.

Franchisees need to be prepared to handle all logistics and payments related to travel and accommodation. This is a common practice in franchising, where the franchisee bears the responsibility for training-related expenses. However, franchisees should clarify with Bumble Roofing what support, if any, is provided in terms of arranging accommodations or transportation to minimize costs and ensure a smooth training experience.
