What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must possess sufficient computer skills to operate the required Computer System, access email, and use the internet. The Computer System includes hardware running on a Windows or Macintosh operating system, along with Microsoft Office XP Professional or a more recent version. Franchisees are expected to use the Computer System for word processing and communicating via email with Bumble Roofing, as well as for tracking customer information.

Bumble Roofing mandates that franchisees maintain an email account for regular communication and check it at least once daily. High-speed internet access is also required if available in the franchisee's area. If Bumble Roofing determines that a franchisee needs additional computer training, the franchisee must complete a computer training course at a local computer training school within 90 days of being advised and provide a certificate of completion.

This requirement ensures that all Bumble Roofing franchisees can effectively manage their business operations using the technology systems the company has in place. The initial and ongoing technology requirements, along with the potential need for additional training, represent both an investment and a responsibility for franchisees to maintain a certain level of technological competence.

Prospective franchisees should assess their current computer skills and consider the potential costs of upgrades or additional training to meet Bumble Roofing's standards. It is also important to factor in the ongoing monthly Technology Fee of $345 for access to Bumble Roofing's designated technology package and 4 Microsoft Exchange email addresses.
