What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Bumble Roofing's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Exhibit G includes an Acknowledgment Addendum to the franchise agreement. This addendum contains a questionnaire designed to determine if any unauthorized or untrue statements or promises were made to the prospective franchisee during the franchise sales process. This questionnaire is not applicable to franchisees who intend to operate in California.
Question 7 within the Acknowledgment Addendum specifically asks: "Did any employee or other person speaking on our behalf make any statement or promise regarding the costs involved in operating a franchise that is not contained in the disclosure document or that is contrary to, or different from, the information contained in the disclosure document?" The franchisee must check either "Yes" or "No" and provide comments if they answered yes.
This acknowledgment serves to confirm that the franchisee is not relying on any information outside of the official Franchise Disclosure Document and the franchise agreement itself. By signing the addendum, the franchisee acknowledges the importance of their answers and that Bumble Roofing is relying on the truthfulness of their responses. This protects Bumble Roofing from potential future claims based on verbal or written statements not included in the official documents.
