What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a transferee must meet the established standards for new franchisees. Specifically, Buildingstars will approve a transfer if the transferee is of good moral character, has a good credit rating, possesses sufficient financial resources to operate the business, and has competent qualifications. The transferee will also need to execute a new Franchise Agreement with the standard terms and conditions then being offered in the franchisee's state by Buildingstars and the owners must execute a personal guarantee.
These requirements ensure that any new operator of a Buildingstars franchise is capable of maintaining the brand's standards and has the resources to run the business effectively. This protects the Buildingstars brand and the interests of other franchisees within the system.
In the event of the death or incapacity of a Buildingstars franchisee, the designated heir must also meet Buildingstars' standards for new franchisees. They must also execute the then-current form of the Franchise Agreement, and a manager must satisfactorily complete Buildingstars' Initial Training Program within thirty days.
