What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's business dealings are governed by several standards. Buildingstars requires that all business dealings be held to the "highest professional standards of honesty, integrity, fair dealing and ethical conduct." A franchisee must also avoid any action that could negatively impact the reputation of Buildingstars, its franchisees, or its affiliates. Franchisees are obligated to pay their financial obligations when due, including taxes related to the business.

Buildingstars franchisees must diligently perform their obligations under the franchise agreement and use their best efforts to promote the business. Franchisees must also avoid any business activities that conflict with their obligations to Buildingstars. Franchisees are required to treat all customers fairly, honestly, ethically, and without discrimination. They must not withhold important information from customers or sell them unnecessary services.

Furthermore, Buildingstars franchisees are prohibited from deceptive, misleading, or unethical advertising. They can only make promises, representations, and guarantees authorized by Buildingstars. Franchisees must maintain good customer relations, provide competent and courteous service, and meet the minimum standards set by Buildingstars in its Confidential Operations Manual. Franchisees are only permitted to use the Buildingstars system and marks for the approved cleaning business. If a customer requests services outside the scope of the standard Buildingstars offerings, the franchisee must first seek approval from Buildingstars.

These standards ensure that Buildingstars franchisees operate their businesses with integrity, maintain the brand's reputation, and provide consistent, high-quality service to customers. Franchisees must adhere to these guidelines to maintain their franchise agreement and contribute positively to the Buildingstars network.
