What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Buildingstars' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific standards when using Buildingstars' trademarks, or "Marks," on business-related materials. Franchisees are required to continuously and prominently display the Marks in connection with their business. They must also avoid any action that could negatively impact the public image of Buildingstars, its business, the overall system, or the Marks themselves.
Buildingstars franchisees must comply with the company's written policies, procedures, regulations, and standards, which may be outlined in the Confidential Operations Manual or other materials provided by Buildingstars. These guidelines may be modified over time. All equipment, products, and supplies used in the business must meet Buildingstars' standards and specifications, as detailed in the Confidential Operations Manual.
In practical terms, this means a Buildingstars franchisee doesn't have complete autonomy in choosing their signage, stationery, or business cards. They must ensure these items align with the brand's established image and quality standards. The franchisee should consult the Confidential Operations Manual and any additional guidelines from Buildingstars to understand the specific requirements for using the Marks on these materials. This ensures brand consistency and protects the goodwill associated with the Buildingstars name.
Failure to comply with these standards could lead to a breach of the franchise agreement and potential legal consequences, as unauthorized use of Buildingstars' Marks is considered an infringement of their rights. Therefore, it is crucial for franchisees to maintain open communication with Buildingstars and seek approval for any marketing or promotional materials that feature the company's Marks.
