You must follow our rules when you use the Marks. You cannot use a name or mark as part of a corporate name or with modifying words, designs or symbols except for those which we license to you. You may not use the Marks in connection with the sale of an unauthorized product or service or in a manner not authorized in writing by us.
There are currently no effective material determinations of the Patent and Trademark Office, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the trademark administrator of this state or any court, and no pending infringement, opposition or cancellation proceedings, and no pending material litigation involving the Marks. There are no agreements currently in effect which significantly limit our rights to use or license the use of the Marks in any manner material to the trademark.
You must notify us immediately of any apparent infringement or challenge to your use of any Mark, or any claim by any person of any rights in any Mark. We and our Affiliates will have the sole discretion to take such action as we deem appropriate and the right to exclusively control any litigation or administrative proceedings arising out of such infringement, challenge or claim.

According to Buildingstars's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to specific rules when using the Buildingstars marks. These marks include trade names, trademarks, service marks, and logos that identify the franchisee's business. Buildingstars grants franchisees the right to operate under the "Buildingstars" name and may permit the use of other current or future marks. Franchisees cannot use a name or mark as part of a corporate name or with modifying words, designs, or symbols, except for those licensed by Buildingstars. They are prohibited from using the marks in connection with the sale of unauthorized products or services or in any manner not authorized in writing by Buildingstars.
Furthermore, franchisees must immediately notify Buildingstars of any apparent infringement or challenge to the use of any mark or any claim by any person of any rights in any mark. Buildingstars and its affiliates have the sole discretion to take action and control any litigation arising from such infringement or claims. Franchisees are required to assist in protecting Buildingstars's interests in any litigation or proceeding. If Buildingstars decides to modify or discontinue the use of the marks, franchisees are obligated to comply at their own expense and without claim against Buildingstars within a reasonable time of the request.
